Tottenham should be forced to play their home Premier League games at Wembley for the rest of the season, says Neil Warnock.

Tottenham were due to take up residency at their new £1billion home last summer, but Spurs are still waiting to move in following a number of delays in the final stages of construction.

Cardiff lost to Spurs at Wembley earlier this season and were brushed aside 3-0 in Wales on New Year's Day.

Warnock feels Cardiff's relegation rivals could benefit from playing at Tottenham's stadium should the hosts struggle to adapt to the new surroundings.

"The league should enforce they play at Wembley for the rest of the season," Warnock told reporters.

"There shouldn't be any chance of an advantage for our opponents. It's not our fault - we should have been playing at the new stadium ourselves.

"I think they should step in now and rather than seven or six weeks, they should make it until the end of the season now and enforce it now."
