Toby Alderweireld has not been included in Tottenham's match day squad for this afternoon's Premier League clash against Swansea City.

The Belgium defender has not played since injuring his knee in October's draw with West Brom and his return would have represented a significant boost.

Eric Dier has been paired with Jan Vertonghen in defence while Harry Kane lead the line fresh from signing his new contract.

Victor Wanyama and Moussa Dembele will start in central midfield as Pochettino deploys his side in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Former Spurs midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson leads the line for the visitors.

Tottenham XI: Lloris (C); Walker, Dier, Vertonghen, Rose; Dembele, Wanyama; Eriksen, Dele, Son; Kane.

Tottenham subs: Vorm, Wimmer, Carter-Vickers, Winks, Sissoko, Onomah, Nkoudou.

Swansea City XI: Fabianski, Naughton, Hoorn, Amat, Taylor, Fulton, Cork, Fer, Barrow, Montero, Sigurdsson.

Swansea City subs: Nordfeldt, Rangel, Mawson, Britton, Routledge, Borja, Llorente.
