Tottenham's squad is "good enough" to win the Premier League this season, according to Norwich boss Alex Neil

Spurs currently occupy fourth place in the table but are only five points adrift of pacesetters Leicester City, having lost just three games this season.

Mauricio Pochettino opted not to add to his squad during the January transfer window, which has prompted some fans to question whether the Argentine coach has enough options at his disposal to maintain a title challenge.

Norwich host Spurs at Carrow Road tonight and Neil is adamant the visitors should be regarded as contenders due to the strength in depth within Tottenham's squad.

"I don't see any reason why you wouldn't see them as contenders," he told the Daily Mirror.

"They certainly have a squad that is good enough to win it and they are easily one of the best teams we have played this season.

"They pretty much have international players in every position and if they can avoid injuries, they are genuine contenders," said the Scotsman.

Tottenham secured a comfortable 3-0 victory when the two sides met at White Hart Lane on Boxing Day and Neil believes his team can expect another difficult encounter today.

"We know it's going to be a very tough game for us. Spurs have a very consistent line up and are always a very physical team.

"They are also very athletic - they are big strong and quick."

Transfer Window: London's big deals

While Pochettino did not bolster his front line during the January transfer window the Canaries brought in Patrick Bamford on loan from Chelsea and Neil is keen for the England Under-21 international to finally kick start his Premier League career.

"We were very keen to sign him before he went on loan to Crystal Palace. He's got good movement and he's different to our other strikers," he added.
