A Covid outbreak at Manchester City has derailed their preparations for Friday night’s FA Cup meeting with League Two outfit, Swindon Town.
Manager Pep Guardiola and up to seven players are isolating although, with all due respect, one would imagine the Premier League champions would still have enough to overcome their opposition.
Still, the news about the absences will invariably give Swindon hope of pulling off what would be a famous upset.
Having been knocked out of the Carabao Cup unusually early, perhaps Guardiola will put an added emphasis on winning the FA Cup this year, with City looking so strong elsewhere.
