Snowball attack forces players to take cover

Fans of Belgian side Club Brugge pelted snowballs at Anderlecht players during their match yesterday.

The clash in the Jupiler League was suspended for seven minutes after the referee opted to take the players off the pitch for their own safety.

Anderlecht players Jonathan Legear and Mbark Boussoufa came under attack as they attempted to take corners.

Anderlecht eventually won the match 2-0.
