Harry Redknapp and Tony Fernandes have spoken of avoiding the mistakes of their last season in the Premier League and insist lessons have been learned from that disastrous campaign.

Redknapp has been busy in the transfer market since Bobby Zamora’s winner in the Play-Off Final and, with a few more additions, has a squad that should have enough to stay up.

Steven Caulker looks a brilliant acquisition and Rio Ferdinand brings an experience to the Queens Park Rangers dressing room which could be invaluable.

The last three teams to go up via the play-offs have all avoided relegation and Redknapp will be confident of steering QPR to safety. He knows he will come under pressure if Rangers are in trouble but they should survive.
