QPR boss Mick Harford closing in on double striker swoop

Mick Harford hopes to add two new strikers to his QPR squad by the end of the day.

The Rangers manager is close to securing loan deals for Tamas Priskin, of Championship rivals Ipswich, and Brimingham's Marcus Bent and he expects to have at least one deal sealed before the 5pm transfer deadline.

Both strikers, who have struggled to hold down a regular starting spot this season, would welcome the opportunity of first-team football and the chance to earn a permanent deal.

Ipswich boss Roy Keane is not pleased about the speculation regarding Priskin and said last week: "Tamas is going nowhere. He's staying at the football club.

"I think the boy deserves a chance [here], he's a talented player."

Meanwhile, Alessandro Pellicori has joined Serie B side AC Mantova on loan until the end of the season.

The Italian, who has scored one goal in ten appearances, had signed a three-year deal last summer.
