Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reiterated his interest in playing in Spain, revealing that it is his dream to wear the white of Real Madrid.
The 26-year-old has been linked with moves to Arsenal and Manchester United in recent months, though he said in October that he would prefer a move to La Liga.
Indeed last month he categorically ruled out a move to the Emirates, though he was far less blunt about the possibility of playing for Madrid.
He told L'Equipe: “My childhood dream? To play at Real Madrid.
“In 2014, before he died, I promised my grandfather who was from Avila, 110 kilometers from Madrid, that I would play there. It will be complicated, but it sits in a corner of my head.
“When I was a kid, I watched Hugo Sanchez videos. The backflip I sometimes do when I score is actually an homage to him. Real Madrid, or another great Spanish club, would also be a great gift to my mother.”

Aubameyang’s mother is Spanish though the striker was born in France whilst his father Pierre was playing for Stade Lavallois.
The Dortmund striker has scored 20 Bundesliga goals this season and is enjoying the best run of form of his career as Thomas Tuchel’s side have endeavoured to keep up with pace-setting Bayern Munich.
