Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and other Borussia Dortmund stars are going nowhere, confirms club CEO

In demand: Dortmund have no intention of losing Aubameyang

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has ruled out the possibility of any midseason departures as his star men continue to be linked with European giants.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ilkay Gundogan have been reported as targets for Arsenal and Liverpool over recent months, with Neven Subotic, Marco Reus and Mats Hummels other gossip column regulars in Westphalia.

Since losing Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski to Bayern Munich in successive seasons Dortmund have repelled interest in most of their star names and Watzke does not expect to lose any names in the January window.

"I can rule out the transfer of any of our top performers now," he said at the club's winter training camp in Dubai.

"That's definitely not on our agenda."

Aubameyang, who has scored 24 goals in 23 appearances this season, poured further cold water over the prospect of a move to England last week.

After picking up the African Footballer of the Year prize he told ESPN: "Let me say this first: I am not going to Arsenal.

"Dortmund is my club and I am not leaving soon."

Thomas Tuchel's side currently trail Bayern Munich by eight points at the halfway stage of the season but are set fair for a return to the Champions League after their absence this season.
