Millwall vs Leicester: The Den could destroy fragile Foxes - Danny Murphy

If any Leicester player doesn’t know what it’s like to take a hammering from hostile fans, he soon will.

I’ve not been involved in many games at The Den, though I was on the bench when Blackburn played there in a Championship fixture in April 2013.

I understood then what people mean when they talk about the unique atmosphere.

There is a real edge to the supporters and, as long as nothing crosses the line, I quite like it.

It shows a passion for the game and reminds me of going to places such as Old Trafford and Goodison Park as a Liverpool player.

Even if the hostility doesn’t affect you, it usually gives a boost to the home team. So often, fans can dictate the way their players perform, for better and for worse.

This is a tricky game for Leicester. Against a club in a lower division, you normally trust your superior ability, but their confidence is low.

Players such as Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy are struggling and the Foxes are failing to weather a storm.

If Millwall can win this one and the quarter-final draw is kind, they can start dreaming about repeating their 2004 campaign, when they reached the final.
