Neil Harris admits there is no room for error if Millwall are to avoid relegation.

Last night’s defeat at Blackburn has left Millwall four points from safety with only two games to go and their hopes of staying up look slim.

The Lions, who were left to rue a number of missed chances at Ewood Park, face Derby at home on Saturday before travelling to Wolves on the final day.

At the moment, their chances of staying up also hinge on Rotherham not winning any of their remaining three fixtures but the Yorkshire club are facing a three-point deduction for fielding an ineligible player.

Harris said: “I thought we had to win two games to stay in the division, so my thoughts still have not changed.

“Derby are chasing a place in the play-offs while we have our own battle going on. The atmosphere will be good and we need to make the most of that. The positives are that we are playing well and we are exciting to watch.

“We talk about the positives, how good we were and how many chances we created but ultimately to win games of football you have to score goals.”

Their lack of a cutting edge was highlighted by the fact Blackburn’s scorers, Rudy Gestede and Jordan Rhodes, have 39 goals between this season — two more than Millwall have managed in the League.
