Millwall’s dream is now taking shape

If Millwall carry on like this then they really could be living the dream next season.

The visitors are up to fifth in the Championship after Andy Keogh’s goal sealed their fourth win in a row and made it 12 games unbeaten. Millwall manager Kenny Jackett said: “Anyone in the Championship can have a Premier League dream.

“That is what you are there for. We do recognise that there are some very big clubs but that is our ambition. Have we got that dream, yes definitely we have.”

Millwall were initially off the pace but grew stronger and were rewarded in the 78th minute when Keogh sunk his former club with a smart strike from close range after neat work by Chris Wood.

Jackett said: “It was a fantastic result for us. We looked like we lacked energy in the first half but hung in there and, going into the second half, we looked in control.

“You could see the goal coming and I’m really pleased for Andy as he had two goals disallowed at Blackburn on Saturday so he was owed one. It was a very, very good finish.”
