Millwall are sure Ian Holloway will unite club again

Millwall chairman John Berylson believes Ian Holloway will bring stability back to the club after he was appointed manager on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Holloway (above) succeeds Steve Lomas, who was sacked on Boxing Day with the club 20th in the Championship.

Lomas lasted just six months in the job as he failed to build on the work of Kenny Jackett, who quit in May.

Berylson said: “Ian shares our view of the potential we have. Since the departure of Kenny we have all learned some difficult lessons. Under Kenny we enjoyed a period of stability in which all elements within the club were pulling together in the same direction. Our aim is to rediscover that formula that stood us in such good stead.”
