Millwall were unable to make their dominance count as Neil Harris' Lions had to settle for a 0-0 draw in their League One Play-Off semi-final first leg against Scunthorpe United on Thursday night.

The Lions dominated from start to finish at The Den but, backed by a raucous home crowd, could not find the breakthrough.

Lee Gregory had the best chance of the night but the forward shot straight at Scunthorpe goalkeeper Joe Anyon when through on goal in the first half.

The match ended with a pitch invasion by a number of Millwall fans, and the result leaves the tie finely poised ahead of the second leg at Glanford Park on Sunday.

Millwall had left it until the final five minutes of the regular season to secure a play-off spot and took that momentum into the game.

Scunthorpe finished third in the table after winning their final five games but Millwall were the better side all evening.

Gregory wasted a glorious opportunity when he shot at Anyon and that set the tone for a frustrating night.

Millwall bombarded the the Scunthorpe box in the first half and the visitors simply could not deal with what Millwall were throwing at them.

Jed Wallace tested Anyon with a free-kick and Tony Craig fired over, but Scunthorpe weathered the storm.

Millwall created fewer chances after the break and Scunthorpe escaped with a draw.
