Michy Batshuayi expecting 'a few phone calls' this summer - 'Chelsea can do what they want with me'

1/16

Michy Batshuayi has admitted his future remains in the hands of Chelsea as the striker admitted he expects a "few phone calls" about a potential move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.

Batshuayi was forced to play second fiddle to Chelsea's first-choice striker Diego Costa last season despite the club spending £33million to sign him from Marseille 12 months ago.

Despite his lack of league starts last term, however, Batshuayi did end the past campaign in fine goalscoring form - which included scoring the title-winning strike for Chelsea at West Brom and, on Monday, getting on the scoresheet in Belgium's 2-1 friendly win over the Czech Republic.

And the 23-year-old forward has now admitted he expects to receive phone calls about a potential move away from Chelsea this summer as he stated his desire to play regular first-team football.

"I'm not the master of my destiny. Chelsea bought me, they can do what they want with me," Batshuayi told RMC Sport.

"I'm going to finish with the national team and then I expect I'll have a few phone calls. I'll see with my agent and the club.

"I want to play, score as many goals as possible and be at the World Cup."
