Mauricio Pochettino believes new signing Moussa Sissoko will help Tottenham "a lot" this season as his arrival has boosted the club's attacking options further.
Sissoko became Tottenham's fifth signing of the summer when he completed a dramatic transfer deadline day move to White Hart Lane in a deal that could eventually rise to £25m.
The 27-year-old boasts plenty of Premier League experience, courtesy of his spell at Newcastle, and could make his Spurs debut against Stoke this weekend with Erik Lamela likely to be rested after returning from international duty with Argentina.
And Pochettino is convinced Sissoko can help Spurs perform to their potential during a season that will see the north Londoners battle for silverware on four fronts.
"He is a player who can help us a lot," Pochettino insisted.
"Last season at Newcastle and the Euros he was fantastic. It is another player who can help us. [We have a] very good squad.
"He is a player who can bring experience, fast, strong and different possibilities to play.
"When you play a lot of games with a lot of competitions to play, you need to keep your level.
"He arrived yesterday and I think he is in good condition. Tomorrow I decide if he’s in the squad or not," Pochettino added.
Sissoko's versatility is likely to serve him well at Spurs and Pochettino has strengthened his options in the wide areas significantly this summer, having also signed Gorges-Kevin Nkoudou from Marseille.
The two Frenchmen, Lamela, Heung-min Son, Christian Eriksen and Joshua Onomah will be expected to ensure Harry Kane's supply line does not run dry, despite Tottenham's heavy workload.
