Manchester United’s Shola Shoretire has become the youngest player to feature in the Uefa Youth League at just 14 years and 314 days.

Harvey Neville, son of the club’s former defender Phil Neville, also made his European debut in Wednesday's 2-1 victory over Valencia, a result which extends their unbeaten run in the competition this term.

Nicky Butt’s side fell behind after 13 minutes after Carlos Perez Sanchez opened the scoring for the home side.

18-year-old Nishan Burkart levelled the contest after 36 minutes, sweeping home a rebound after Tahith Chong’s effort was saved.

Aidan Barlow put his side ahead after coolly tucking away a one-on-one after being fed through by Largie Ramazani.

Shoretire came onto replace goal scorer Burkart with 15 minutes of the match remaining.

Angel Gomes, who has already made his senior United debut, captained the side with 17-year-old Mason Greenwood absent having travelled with the first-team for tonight’s Champions League clash at the Mestalla.
