Manchester United stepped up their preparations for their Premier League opener against Crystal Palace in training on Tuesday.

United host Roy Hodgson’s side at Old Trafford on Saturday having been given an extra week to prepare for the new campaign after their Europa League campaign in August.

Bruno Fernandes was back at Carrington after he was one of several players to miss last weekend’s friendly with Aston Villa.

The Portugal international trained alongside fellow midfield stars Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek for the first time, with the latter ready to offer Ole Gunnar Solskjaer another option in midfield following his switch from Ajax.

Pogba meanwhile returned to training last week after the France international tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of Nations League games against Sweden and Croatia in August.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka was also back on the training pitch having been forced to quarantine for two weeks after returning from holiday in Dubai.
