Romelu Lukaku has warned rivals to expect a "different" Manchester United after the Red Devils eased the pressure on Jose Mourinho with a 2-0 win at Burnley.

Old Trafford has found itself in the eye of a storm after a shock 3-2 Premier League defeat at Brighton was compounded by the heaviest home loss of the Portuguese's managerial career against Tottenham on Monday, as Spurs stunned Mourinho's men with a 3-0 win.

But there was no sign of a hangover on Sunday as United rallied impressively, with Lukaku netting twice in the first half to set Mourinho's men on course for a deserved win over Sean Dyche's Burnley at Turf Moor.

Mourinho had been under serious pressure heading into Sunday's match, but travelling supporters chanted his name from the outset while a fan-funded plane flew overhead calling executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward - who denied Mourinho's requests for a summer centre-back signing - "a specialist in failure".

While the win will not distract from any long-term issues at the club, three much-needed points will send United fans into the international break on a high after a difficult fortnight.

Speaking about United's reaction to their defeat against Spurs, Lukaku told the club's website: "We have players who are really bad losers.

"All of us are, we never like to lose. Now that we have won, we will switch off. The manager will analyse our last games and he will prepare us for the next games, as we have a difficult month coming up. We will be ready and we will be prepared."

United were praised for their first-half display against Spurs before conceding three second-half goals against Mauricio Pochettino's men, and Lukaku believes that the Red Devils have turned a corner in terms of their style following the win at Burnley.

"We are Manchester United, this is how we have to play in every game and against Tottenham we did the same," he said. "The people will now see a different side of us.

"Everything that we worked on in the last couple of weeks is coming out now - lots of quick passing, runs in behind, a lot of action and a lot of chances.

"As long as we create chances, we know we will score. We defended well, we tried to press the ball, the fans want to see that and we tried to deliver."
