Man Utd's Paul Pogba ruled out of AZ Alkmaar Europa League trip after injury setback

Paul Pogba has been ruled out of Manchester United’s Europa League clash with AZ Alkmaar.

The France international has only just returned from an ankle and foot injury, but has been left out of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s travelling squad for Thursday’s game in Den Haag.

Pogba suffered a reaction after playing 90 minutes against Rochdale last week, but recovered in time for Arsenal on Monday.

United confirmed his absence on the advice of specialists.

Anthony Martial and Phil Jones, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw were also left behind when United flew out from Manchester on Wednesday morning.

Solskjær has included 10 academy graduates, with Brandon Williams travelling after making his debut against Rochdale.

Mason Greenwood is expected to start after scoring against Astana and Rochdale.
