Jose Mourinho has chosen to reintroduce Gary Cahill to his Chelsea team for the club's crucial Champions League tie away to Maccabi Tel Aviv on Tuesday night, with Kurt Zouma dropping to the bench.

Cahill has been out of favour with the Blues boss in recent weeks, but Mourinho has decided to rest Zouma in favour of the England international while Branislav Ivanovic - who started Chelsea's 1-0 win over Norwich at the weekend - has also been left out of the starting XI.

Cesar Azpilicueta will instead play at right-back while Abdul Baba Rahman starts on the other flank at left-back. John Terry keps his place at the heart of Chelsea's defence.

Nemanja Matic also retains his position in the Blues team alongside Cesc Fabregas, but Pedro drops to the bench as Willian, Oscar and Eden Hazard take up the attacking places.

Diego Costa once again leads Chelsea's team up front after having ended his goal drought with the winner against Norwich at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Chelsea starting XI: Begovic, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Terry, Baba Rahman, Fabregas, Matic, Willian, Oscar, Hazard, Diego Costa.

Maccabi Tel Aviv starting XI: Rajković, Dasa, Ben Harush, Ben Haim, Carlos García, Alberman, Zahavi, Rikan, Igiebor, Peretz, Ben Chaim.
