How Liverpool players and fans celebrated Premier League title on Twitter

Matt Davies25 June 2020

Andy Robertson was one of many players and former players who couldn't hide their joy as Liverpool were crowned Premier League to claim a first league title in 30 years.

Liverpool's emphatic 4-0 win against Crystal Palace on Wednesday moved them within two points of the title and meant Manchester City had to win away at Chelsea to prolong the inevitable.

Pep Guardiola's side were unable to find the win, however, a dramatic Willian penalty ensuring a 2-1 win for the Blues.

Liverpool will now travel to the Etihad next month as champions, where they will be handed the Premier League trophy.

And it's fair to say, after 30 years without a title, their players - and former players - certainly didn't hold back.

Even Rio Ferdinand had some kind words for Liverpool.

Congrats, Liverpool!
