One Liverpool fan was seemingly so fed up after the club lost to fierce rivals Manchester United on Saturday that he set up a "Sack Brendan Rodgers" fund and urged fans to donate £7.3m to ensure the Northern Irishman gets the boot.
Michael Gavin created the fund on the website "Go Fund Me" on Sunday after Liverpool were beaten 3-1 by Louis van Gaal's side at Old Trafford a day earlier.
Writing on the page, Mr Gavin explained that the Reds' uninspired football style, Rodgers' "horrific" summer signings and his general deamenour were the reasons why he wanted supporters to unite and try and pressurise the club's owners to sack the coach.
"Brendan Rodgers time is up there's not much more of this insipid football anyone can take, from the horrific signings to the tired cliches used in the media week in week out enough is enough," he wrote.
"It's reporeted that it will take 10,000,000 to sack him so this page has been setup to show FSG that LFC fans are so desperate to get rid off him that we are willing to pay for his sacking.
"Please donate whatever money you can and share this page across all your social media pages."
Despite the fund page being shared 224 times, only two fans have donated money to Mr Gavin's cause so far - totalling just £11.
And while one supporter wrote she would "gladly pledge to get rid of that clown if it's all set up correctly and above board", others commenting on his fund page instead questioned how the money would be used.
