Kostas Mitroglou becomes Fulham's second transfer deadline day capture

Agency31 January 2014

Greece striker Kostas Mitroglou has signed for Fulham on a four-and-a-half-year deal from Olympiacos, the Barclays Premier League club announced.

The 25-year-old, who has been in prolific form this season, agreed a three-and-a-half year deal after passing a medical at Craven Cottage last night.

Mitroglou has scored 14 goals in 12 league games for Olympiakos and his three goals saw Greece beat Romania in their World Cup qualifying play-off in November.

His goals have helped Olympiakos to the top of the Greek Super League and into the knockout stages of the Champions League, where they will face Manchester United.

Mitroglou's signing comes after Tottenham midfielder Lewis Holtby joined Fulham on loan for the rest of the season.
