Jose Mourinho tells Manchester City: Paul Pogba's price has gone up after derby display

Jose Mourinho has joked that Paul Pogba's price has increased after inspiring Manchester United to a derby victory over Manchester City.

The build-up to Saturday's derby saw Guardiola's astonishingly claim that Manchester City were offered Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in January, both players have Mino Raiola as their agent.

Pogba's future at United has been the subject of some speculation in recent months after an apparent rift with Mourinho.

The midfielder, along with his team-mates, was dreadful in the first half at the Etihad with United 2-0 down at the break.

However, two goals inside 10 minutes of the restart, followed by Chris Smalling's winner, stunned the home crowd.

"I'm really pleased for him," Mourinho told Sky Sports before adding with a smile: "If it's true that his agent offered him to some clubs, now the price has gone up."

On Pogba's performance, Smalling added: "You never see him hide. Today you saw 11 players stand up."
