Jose Mourinho has admitted he is unaware of reports that have claimed Radamel Falcao wants to cut short his loan deal at Chelsea following a lack of game time this season.

The on-loan Monaco striker is already considering his future at the club having started just two matches since joining on loan from the French side in the summer.

Falcao was left out of Mourinho's squad that beat Aston Villa 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon, but is set to return to the bench when Chelsea travel to play Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League on Tuesday due to Loic Remy suffering a minor injury.

Mourinho claims he doesn't know about the speculation, but did suggest the Colombia international needs to raise his game.

He added: "First of all, I don't know if it's true (he wants to leave). He didn't say anything to me about that and I speak with him every day.

"It's quite strange the press know something I don't know and my club doesn't know. We don't have one single information about it.

"What he has to do to play more? That is a question. He has to give us more than Diego. We normally play with one striker. There's direct competition between the players, two for one position."
