Jack Wilshere is training with Championship side Bournemouth as he searches for a new club.

The 28-year-old has been without a club since being released by West Ham in October with nine months left on his contract at the London Stadium.

Bournemouth say Wilshere, who spent the 2016-17 season on loan with the Cherries, is “keeping up his fitness levels” with them.

Former Arsenal and West Ham midfielder Wilshere is free to join his next club if he agrees a deal and he does not have to wait until the January transfer window opens.

Wilshere said after he left West Ham that he “can still contribute at the very top of the game” and that he is “still incredibly hungry, ambitious and desperate to achieve success”.

His last appearance for West Ham was in their Carabao Cup victory over Hull in September.

Wilshere won the most recent of his 34 England caps at Euro 2016. He turns 29 on January 1.
