Jack Wilshere back for England

11 April 2012

Fabio Capello today rewarded Arsenal star Jack Wilshere for his impressive start to the season by naming him in the squad to face Montenegro in the European Championships qualifier at Wembley a week tomorrow.

The 18-year-old, who has also been included in the Under-21s squad for their play-off against Romania, has impressed for Arsenal in midfield.

Capello also handed West Ham keeper Robert Green a recall, having ignored him since his calamitous mistake against the USA in England's opening game of the World Cup.

Tottenham midfielder Tom Huddlestone, who was left out of Capello's World Cup 23 after being selected for the preliminary squad, has also been recalled to the squad.

Defenders Rio Ferdinand and John Terry return after injury, while Bolton striker Kevin Davies also received a call-up.
