A Malmo fan club has told their fellow supporters to watch in the away end if they are coming to Wednesday's match against Paris Saint-Germain to cheer Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Swedish striker will be playing his first competitive match against his boyhood club since departing for Ajax in 2001.

To accomodate the fans who want to watch their hero in action, Ibrahimovic has booked an entire square of downtown Malmo to show the Champions League game for those who don't have tickets.

But MFF Support, the official fan club of the Swedish giants, have told those attending the game at the Malmo New Stadium to get behind the home team or not bother turning up.

The supporters posted a tweet in which they asked those attending the game: "Do you want to cheer on opponents? Try the away section. In our section there'll be sky blue [Malmo's colours] and songs for 90 minutes."

Malmo are currently level with Shakhtar Donetsk on three points with two games to go in Group A. Both sides are likely battling for a Europa League spot behind Real Madrid and PSG.

A positive result against either side could secure further European football for Malmo and in a lengthier Facebook post the supporters club called on fans in the stands to will their team, not Ibrahimovic, to victory.

Vi lägger oss inte ner och ger upp bara för att PSG & Zlatan kommer.Detta är Malmö och ingen bortamatch i gruppspelet ...

"We do not give up just for PSG and Zlatan," it said.

"The focus is on our efforts on the pitch... If we in the stands do not perform, we cannot expect miracles on the pitch."

"We do this together. So don't worry about what Zlatan and company do."

In a video posted on the Malmo website ahead of the match Zlatan warned he would have no doubts about his allegiances.

"Now I represent PSG, I will do everything I can to win for my PSG and to score goals," the 34-year-old striker said.
