Daniel Sturridge is such a talented player and remains one of the best finishers in England. But because he is on the pitch so rarely, he has to prove himself again every time he is given an opportunity.

Where will he be next season? West Ham have expressed an interest, with Slaven Bilic talking in complimentary terms when asked about the subject recently.

Sturridge will not play regularly for Liverpool to get the fitness and consistency he needs, so I believe it is in his best interests if he leaves.

But he is on big money at Anfield — about £140,000 a week — and I can see West Ham signing him only if Andy Carroll leaves the club.
