Standard Sport15 April 2014

Liverpool's players were in attendance as Anfield hosted the annual memorial service for the victims of the Hillsborough disaster.

Tuesday marks the 25th anniversary of when 96 Liverpool supporters were killed at the Reds' FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest in Sheffield.

The whole Liverpool squad were present along with directors, other staff and a number of former players and managers.

During the service, current Reds boss Brendan Rodgers told how the club drew its inspiration from the '96 names who were lost that day'.

Rodgers said: "We will always strive to honour the families and the memory of the 96 that we lost. You'll Never Walk Alone."
