Jamie Vardy was a busy man on Tuesday night as he escaped a potential red card, won a penalty and scored England's second goal against Spain.

But any wisened football fan will know that the modern game is all about the celebrations - and the Leicester striker didn't disappoint as he led the Three Lions in the ultimate mannequin challenge at Wembley.

The internet craze has swept social media in recent months with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Michelle Obama the latest to get in on the act.

But LeBron James and the First Lady now have some competition after Vardy stooped to meet Jordan Henderson's cross to put England 2-0 up against Spain early in the second half and duly cut the viral #MannequinChallenge celebration.

Vardy made the difference for England, but was perhaps fortunate to still be on the pitch after an early challenge on Chelsea's Cesar Azpilicueta.

The Chelsea defender was left reeling in pain as Vardy caught the the defender high on his left shin as the forward followed through on a lunging clearance just eight minutes into the game, but was merely given a talking-to by referee Ovidiu Hategan.
