WWE wrestler Dwayne Johnson has given Adebayo Akinfenwa's goal celebration the seal of approval.

Akinfenwa scored his second goal in Wycombe Wanderers' 3-2 win against Port Vale on Saturday before performing the 'People's Elbow' on team-mate Luke O'Nien.

Johnson, known as 'The Rock' in the ring, has been wrestling for over two decades and has performed the elbow drop several times over the years.

And after handing Wanderers a 3-0 lead at Vale Park, Akinfenwa sought out team-mate O'Nien before recreating Johnson's signature finishing move.

Responding to a video clip of the striker's celebration, Johnson tweeted: "Heart stoppin' elbow droppin'.... well done brotha."

O'Nein tweeted that he had "just got out of A & E" before threatening a payback celebration.
