Diego Costa's Chelsea career appears to be over after the Spanish striker revealed that Antonio Conte texted him to say he was no longer wanted.
The striker has two years left on his contract, and Standard Sport understands that Costa wants to return to Atletico Madrid - though his agent Jorge Mendes has also he;d talks with AC Milan.
Costa had hoped to force Chelsea to lower their asking price by speaking about Conte's text message on Wednesday night, with the club turning turned down a £76million bid from Tianjin Quanjian in January.
Atletico are considering using billionaire Chinese shareholder, Wang Jianlin, to engineer a temporary move to the Far East before signing him in January, but Costa's future remains uncertain.
One thing that Premier League fans could never accuse Costa of is being boring though, with the striker offering brilliant, brutal and baffling performances in equal measure during a controversial and successful spell in west London.
