Manchester City expect Kyle Walker to be fit for their title showdown with Arsenal on Sunday.
Walker suffered a hamstring injury against Brazil on Saturday and withdrew from the England squad ahead of Tuesday’s friendly against Belgium.
But initial scans suggest the injury is not serious and Walker should be fine to start against Arsenal at the Etihad.
Just one point separates Arsenal and City at the top of the Premier League and their clash on Sunday could be crucial to the outcome of the title race.
Walker will continue to be monitored over the coming days but his fitness would be a major boost for City, who also have a big Champions League quarter-final with Real Madrid on the horizon.
City are also expected to have Kevin De Bruyne available to face Arsenal.
De Bruyne pulled out of the Belgium squad due to a groin injury but was pictured in training with City on Monday and looks set to be available for the weekend.
Jack Grealish also trained on Monday and could return after a month out with a groin issue.
Both Arsenal and City will be keeping a close eye on Norway’s friendly against Slovakia, after Norway manager Stale Solbakken confirmed both Martin Odegaard and Erling Haaland will start the game in Oslo.
“I’ve spoken to Martin and Erling,” said Solbakken. “They both really want to play this game. We should be happy.”
