Chelsea striker Loic Remy has revealed the best of skill he's ever carried out in his career: and the unfortunate recipient of the trick is Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker.

In an interview with Chelsea's official website on Wednesday, Remy admitted his piece of skill on the towering Gunners centre-back during his days with French giants Marseille is one he remembers with fondness.

When asked what his best trick performed in a game was, the France international said: "There was one in the Champions League when I was playing for Marseille against Arsenal.

"I was in the penalty area and did a trick on Per Mertesacker which sent him the wrong way.

"I also enjoyed the goal I scored for QPR against Wigan when I hit it first time into the top corner."

Keeping with the Arsenal theme, Remy went on to admit that Gunners legend Thierry Henry is one of his favourite players and the 38-year-old's memorable volleyed goal against Manchester United 16 years ago is the best piece of skill he has ever seen by another player.

"I would have to say Thierry Henry’s goal against Manchester United when he flicked the ball up and volleyed it over the keeper into the net," Remy said.

"He is one of my favourite players and I got to know him from playing for the national team."

When then asked about who the most skilful footballer he has had the pleasure of playing against is, Remy added: "It would have to be Ronaldinho.

"I played against him in the Champions League when I was at Lyon, I was really young and at the time he was on fire for Barcelona.

"I had just started to play games regularly so it was amazing for me, he was so sharp and he just made football look so easy even when it’s very difficult."
