David Luiz says he is looking forward to playing alongside Diego Costa following his deadline day move to Chelsea.

The Brazilian returned to Stamford Bridge in a £34million transfer last week and is in line to make his second debut for the Blues away at Swansea on Saturday.

Luiz left Chelsea two years ago ahead of Costa's arrival and the pair shared a number of heated exchanges as PSG kncoked Jose Mourinho's side out of the Champions League the following March.

The defender played down their physical battles at the time, insisting they remained friends after the whistle despite the dramatic scenes on the pitch. Indeed, Luiz even suggested Costa should join him in Paris earlier this year.

And now the 29-year-old has is excited about the prospect of playing alongside Costa at Chelsea.

"Yes! He was an amazing player when I was playing against him," Luiz told Chelsea's official website.

"He is a guy who gives everything for your team and now I am on his side, for sure I have a great striker for my team and with the spirit of love for football, with passion, so I am happy for that."
