Sergio Aguero scored three goals to condemn Chelsea to their second straight Premier League loss and secure a 3-0 win for Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
The game in west London started off in blistering fashion with both sides having chances to score early on, but it was City who drew first blood in the 33rd minute through a quick counter-attack.
Kevin De Bruyne raced clear from a Chelsea corner to set up Sergio Aguero, who fired a powerful shot past Thibaut Courtois and into the back of the net.
De Bruyne then proved instrumental in City's second after the break when, again in another rapid counter from the visitors, the Belgian combined with Samir Nasri, who passed to Aguero allowing the Argentine to fire past Courtois.
Nasri could have made it 3-0 afterwards but Courtois could not be beaten in the 64th minute, although the Chelsea goalkeeper let all his hard work down when he tackled Fernandinho in the area late on, which resulted in referee Mike Dean showing the Belgian a straight red card.
Asmir Begovic came on for Courtois but could not stop Aguero from firing in City's and, indeed, his third goal of the evening to cap off another good display from Manuel Pellegrini's men this week - and hand Chelsea their second successive loss in the league.
