Combined XI: Who makes the cut?
Tom Farmery25 February 2015

Ahead of the League Cup final on Sunday between Chelsea and Tottenham, Standard Sport takes a closer look at the strengths of both teams and picks our best XI from the two squads.

Nemanja Matic is the obvious absentee due to being suspended after he was sent off against Burnley for violent conduct last weekend.

The FA have since reduced his sentence to two matches, but the Serbian international will still miss Sunday's final showdown at Wembley Stadium. An 'outraged' Jose Mourinho is expected to turn to Brazil international Ramires, with the injured John Obi-Mikel also unavailable, but can the former Benfica man make our combined XI?

No, in short, but plenty of his teammates do!
