Chelsea are close to agreeing a deal for Croatian forward Andrej Kramaric, according to one of the Italian clubs chasing him.

Kramaric, who plays for Rijeka in his homeland, is regarded extremely highly and is likely to move to a higher-ranked club at the end of the season.

According to Pierpaolo Marino, the sporting director of Serie A club Atalanta, Chelsea will win the race. Marino said: “I believe that he is signing for Chelsea. He is a player we have followed for a long time.”

The 23-year-old won his first senior cap earlier this year and scored in Euro 2016 qualifying wins over Malta and Azerbaijan.
