Everton chairman Bill Kenwright insists the club have no complaints over Chelsea's conduct during their pursuit of new £15m signing Ross Barkley.

Liverpool mayor Joe Anderson has written a letter to Merseyside Police, the Football Association and the Premier League urging them to investigate whether 'fraud' took place.

Chelsea agreed a £35m fee with Everton on the final day of the summer window, but Barkley pulled out to concentrate on his recovery from a serious hamstring injury.

The now fully fit England international, whose contract at Everton expired in June, agreed to move to Stamford Bridge last week.

Anderson has questioned the behaviour of Chelsea and Barkley's representatives in being able to secure the move at a far cheaper price.

But Kenwright said: “I've got no concerns at all, over what Joe said. I've got no concerns at all about Chelsea who were immaculate as they were in the summer, absolutely immaculate.

“It was a deal we agreed because the boy didn't want to play for Everton.”

It is believed the FA, Premier League and police won't look into the matter either.
