Chelsea striker Loic Remy would prefer a move to Crystal Palace because he wants to stay in London, Standard Sport understands.

Palace are just one of a number of clubs who are looking at acquiring the France international on loan or on a permanent basis.

Lyon, Villarreal, Galatasaray and Besiktas are also in the hunt, while Chelsea have been looking to use him as part of a deal to re-sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton.

But the 29-year-old, who was one of several Chelsea fringe players involved in a friendly behind closed doors against Brentford yesterday, is keen to remain in the capital.

He has made London his home since he joined QPR from Marseille for £8m in January 2013, although spent the following season on loan at Newcastle.

Remy joined Chelsea for £10.5m in 2014, but after starting just three League games last term, is now struggling to convince new boss Antonio Conte of his worth.

Crystal Palace have been looking to improve their strikeforce all summer, but have yet to succeed in moves for Christian Benteke and Saido Berahino at Liverpool and West Brom respectively.

Another player whose future at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain is winger Juan Cuadrado as Juventus continue to try and secure him back on loan.

Standard Sport revealed yesterday that the Serie A champions had reopened talks after he was left out of Chelsea's squad against West Ham on Monday.

Cuadrado impressed on loan at Juventus last term and despite Conte making it clear he wanted to include him in his plans when he took the job in April, the Colombia international is keen to play in Italy.

Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed the 28-year-old is on his wish-list and said: "Cuadrado is a player who would be welcome, he conducted himself very well with us.

“We have to assess Chelsea’s position, if an opportunity arises whereby we can bring him back to us then we’ll be there."

Another winger set to leave for Serie A is Christian Atsu, who is wanted by Torino on a season-long loan.
