Several of Chelsea's first-team players shone on international duty on Friday - with Olivier Giroud and Victor Moses both scoring for their nations.

With the Premier League pausing for a fortnight, the Chelsea stars called up to international duty travelled with their compatriots to participate in friendly matches as some of them enjoyed positive outings.

Others, such as Antonio Rudiger, didn't get any minutes for their nation but still have the chance to play when the second round of international games take place early next week.

Here is a round-up of how Chelsea's first-team players got on for their nations:

Olivier Giroud and N'Golo Kante

Giroud, who admitted this week he has been unhappy with the number of goals he has scored at Chelsea so far, netted for France in their 3-2 loss to Colombia at the Stade de France.

N'Golo Kante also started the friendly on Friday, playing the entirety of the match in Paris.

Victor Moses

The wing-back played a match-winning role in Nigeria's friendly game away to Poland on Friday as he won and converted a 61st-minute penalty at the Stadion Miejski.

Unfortunately for Moses, it appeared as though he dived for the spot-kick although it ensured Nigeria walked away with a 1-0 win.

Willy Caballero

The goalkeeper, who has played back-up to first-choice Chelsea shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois, had a night to remember after he was handed his debut appearance for Argentina.

Caballero, 36, started the nation's friendly game against Italy at the Etihad Stadium on Friday and played the full 90 minutes as Argentina won 2-0.

Cesar Azpilicueta, Marcos Alonso and Antonio Rudiger

The Chelsea trio were all unused substitutes as Germany drew 1-1 with Spain in Dusseldorf.

Germany boss Joachim Low opted to start Mats Hummels and Jerome Boateng in central defence, meaning Rudiger was left on the bench, while Julen Lopetegui's decision to have Jordi Alba and Dani Carvajal at full-back meant Azpilicueta and Alonso not playing.

Alonso could yet get his debut cap for Spain, however, when La Roja host Argentina in a friendly game on Tuesday.

Willian

The winger, who has been in fine form for Chelsea this season, played a key role as Brazil beat Russia 3-0 in Moscow.

After first sending in the cross that ended in Miranda opening the scoring in the 53rd minute, Willian then assisted Paulinho for Brazil's third.

Andreas Christensen

The defender did not get the chance to play for Denmark against Panama on Thursday after being sent home to recover from a bout of "fatigue".

Denmark won the game 1-0.
