Antonio Conte has confirmed that David Luiz could feature for Chelsea before the end of the season after returning to training this week.

Luiz has not played since the 4-1 Premier League loss away to Watford on February 5 due to a series of injuries, which forced him to travel to Barcelona in order to see a specialist on more than occasion this season.

Chelsea only have five more games left to play this season, including an FA Cup final clash against Manchester United, and Luiz could feature for the Blues before the end of the campaign after resuming training this week.

Speaking to reporters at Cobham on Friday, Conte said of the defender: "I don't know, I don't know. We'll se [if he'll be fit to play this season].

"For sure, now, he's having training sessions and is improving a lot. He had this problem in his knee. He's working. Working very hard. He's aiming to come back before the final of the season."

Luiz held a big birthday bash in London earlier this week to celebrate turning 31, which was attended by several of the Chelsea players.

But when asked if he had been invited to the Brazilian's birthday party, Conte replied: "I don't know about a party.

"As you know very well, I don't like to be in parties in general. I don't know about this party."
