Chelsea forward Bertrand Traore believes the reigning Premier League champions have the ability to win "any competition" as the Blues continue their march in the FA Cup.

Guus Hiddink's side picked themselves back up following a narrow 2-1 defeat away to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last week to thrash a weakened Manchester City side 5-1 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The win over Manuel Pellegrini's men ensures Chelsea keep their hopes of winning the FA Cup alive while they remain very much in their tie with PSG as they now host the French champions in two weeks knowing they have an away goal in their favour.

Despite Hiddink admitting on Sunday Chelsea have very little to fight for in the Premier League, Traore insists the Blues have the quality to win any tournament they wish should they continue fighting for each other.

"Chelsea were the champions last season so of course we can win any competition," the 20-year-old told Chelsea TV. "We just have to push a little bit more and keep fighting for each other."

Traore scored his third goal of the season in the 5-1 win over City after being given his chance to impress for the first team under Hiddink.

And the 20-year-old has revealed his desire to continue showing fans why Hiddink wasn't wrong to put his faith in his services.

Speaking about his goal on Sunday, Traore said: "It is a good feeling for me. Now I have to stay focused, working hard in training and try to take any opportunity I get.

"I am happy for the team, happy with the performance and that I got another goal."

He added: ""I like challenges so I am always ready to come on the pitch and show what I can do so I always train for this kind of moments.

"Everyone wants to play every week as a starting number but I am young, I just have to fight and keep working hard and my time will come.

"It is a privilege for me, coming from Africa as a young player and being coached by a great manager like Guus Hiddink so I am proud of that."
