Cenk Tosun expects to form deadly partnership with Theo Walcott when Arsenal star makes Everton move

Everton striker Cenk Tosun is confident he can form a formidable partnership with Theo Walcott when the latter completes his move from Arsenal.

Standard Sport report this morning that Walcott has completed his medical and agreed personal terms ahead of a £25million transfer that is expected to be announced imminently.

Walcott’s arrival will take Everton’s January spending beyond £50m after the signing of Tosun from Besiktas for £27m, both moves designed to ignite a Toffees’ attack that has struggled to overcome the departure of Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United in the summer.

Though Walcott has struggled to establish himself in the Arsenal side this season he comes with a formidable track record of 108 goals for the Gunners and 47 England caps, enough to convince Tosun that he could forge a formidable partnership with the 28-year-old.

“Theo is a great player, proven player,” Tosun said at a press conference ahead of his home debut against West Brom on Saturday. “He's done really well for Arsenal.

“He's really fast, he's a great crosser. I would say it's a massive signing for us and I think I’d link up well with him.

“I'm sure if we sign him he would have a great input.”
