Brentford welcome Alan Judge back for Premier League promotion push

Giuseppe Muro27 April 2018

Brentford have Alan Judge back for their trip to Barnsley on Saturday as they look to keep alive their chances of finishing in the Championship play-offs.

The midfielder has missed the past three games because of a hamstring injury but is fit and available again.

Brentford are three points outside the top six with two games remaining and manager Dean Smith said: “We can only control what we can control. Barnsley are fighting for their lives, they got beaten at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday. We have got to play our own game and concentrate on that.

“We need to win if we want to take it to the last game of the season.”

Smith, meanwhile, has been linked with the West Brom job but has dismissed the specualation.

He said: “I am a little bit disappointed I have not been linked with the Arsenal job!

“There is always speculation and somebody has probably put 4p on me to get the job and the odds have come down. That is how things go in football.”
