Home debutant Nicolas Pepe gave Arsenal fans a glimpse of the flair he can bring to the team in his second-half cameo against Burnley on Saturday.

The Ivory Coast international, signed for a club-record £72million fee during the summer transfer window, came off the bench for the second straight week as he made his Emirates Stadium bow in the 2-1 win over Sean Dyche's men.

Pepe received posession in the middle of the pitch and, with his back to Ben Mee, feigned to run in the opposite direction before jolting back towards the Burnley defender, nipping the ball between his legs and shifting past him to collect it on the other side.

"Pepe's impact is very good," Said Unai Emery after the game.

"Forty-five minutes today, he has been with us only two weeks and he needs to fit more.

"I spoke with him [on Friday] about how he is feeling every day with us, how he is feeling before the match, and he is feeling progressively better, but he needs more. Today, I think 45 minutes was perfect for him."

Both Dani Ceballos and David Luiz made full debuts in the win over Burnley, with the former laying on two goals, while Sead Kolasinac was an unused substitute after being withdrawn from the squad to face Newcastle last week over safety fears. Mesut Ozil missed out altogether through illness.
