Unai Emery has admitted his surprise at opponents raising their game against Arsenal and insisted Wolves will be fully primed despite their FA Cup semi-final heartache.

The Gunners travel to Molineux on Tuesday, just three days after their top four hopes suffered a huge blow with a 3-2 home defeat to Crystal Palace.

Wolves have enjoyed a fine return to the Premier League this season but were beaten at Southampton and drew at home to relegation-threatened Brighton in their two outings since losing to Watford at Wembley.

Asked if Wolves were struggling since that semi-final defeat, Emery said: “I don't think so. They are going to push a lot tomorrow.

"I worked one thing here very quickly. We are playing against all of the teams and they want to battle us, fighting and playing with a big motivation.

“One is the motivation in the table for each player and one is the motivation against Arsenal. Every team wants to battle us because they respect us and also because it's important to try to win against us.”

Emery confirmed Aaron Ramsey will miss the game with a hamstring problem and Granit Xhaka (hip) is also a doubt but Sokratis Papastathopoulos is available following suspension.
