Arsenal coach Unai Emery has revealed Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin will play for the Under-23 side on Friday as they continue their recovery from injury.

Tierney, a £25 million summer signing from Celtic, is yet to make his debut for the club after being ruled out with a groin problem.

Bellerin is nearing full fitness again following a serious knee injury which has kept him out for nine months but is short of match practice.

Speaking after watching side beat Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 in Germany, Emery said the pair would get a run-out in the U23 match against Wolves on Friday night.

"Rob Holding is very close to us and tomorrow Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin are going to play in the under-23s," Emery said.

Holding could be ready for a return to first-team action after travelling with the squad for the Europa League opener at the Commerzbank-Arena.

Emery also shed some light on Sead Kolasinac's injury after the Bosnian was substituted in the second half.

"He played Sunday, tonight, and he can feel some small problem but I think it’s not serious," he added.
